Steam Machine Delivers Poor Performance in Demanding Titles - briefly

A new performance test of Valve’s Steam Machine has shown disappointing results in modern AAA games.

At 1440p on Medium/High settings with ray tracing, **Cyberpunk 2077** ran at just 28 FPS. **Black Myth: Wukong** (Very High) managed only 20 FPS, and **Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora** (Ultra) hit 21 FPS.

The video highlights that a custom PC built for the same ~$1,049 price would offer significantly better performance.

The results have sparked criticism that the pre-built Steam Machine does not deliver value compared to building your own rig or buying a console.
