Dragon's Dogma 2 Gets Big Free Updates + Dark Arisen Expansion in October - briefly|

Capcom has released a roadmap of free updates for Dragon's Dogma 2, with the first patch already live and a major paid expansion coming this fall.
**Update 1** (available now) adds unlimited fast travel via a new Eternal Ferrystone item, more Portcrystals, improved movement, better UI, and pawn adjustments including reduced oxcart attacks.
**Update 2**, scheduled for late August, will bring performance improvements across all platforms, additional save slots, Dragonsplague tweaks, and further balance changes to pawns, enemies, and actions.
The **Dark Arisen expansion** launches on **October 9, 2026**, introducing a new region, new dungeons, new class abilities, and more content.
These updates aim to address long-standing player feedback on fast travel, performance, and quality-of-life features ahead of the expansion.
