Best Buy Refuses Refund After FedEx Driver Steals $1,742 Camera - briefly|
| (hx) 09:32 AM CEST - Jun,07 2026 |
A customer who spent over $30,000 at Best Buy is publicly calling out the retailer after a FedEx driver allegedly stole his $1,742.80 Sony Alpha 6700 camera during delivery.
FedEx admitted the theft occurred at their facility before the package reached the customer’s address, yet Best Buy told the buyer to “work with local law enforcement” instead of issuing a refund or replacement.
The customer, commercial real estate founder Brandon Avedikian, has disputed the charge with his credit card but says the process could take months with no guarantee of success.
Best Buy’s own shipping terms state that risk of loss passes to the customer only upon delivery, which never happened in this case.
The story has gone viral on X with over 38,000 likes and thousands of comments, with many users advising chargebacks, demand letters to executives, or switching to Amazon.
