CD Projekt Red has revealed new details about its mysterious original IP, Project Hadar, through a recent job listing for an engineering director.
The studio described Hadar as “an emotional, open-world experience” aimed at pushing immersion and creating unforgettable gaming moments.
Unlike *The Witcher* (based on books) or *Cyberpunk 2077* (based on a tabletop RPG), Hadar is CD Projekt Red’s first completely original franchise developed entirely in-house.
The project remains in early development stages, with the studio simultaneously working on *The Witcher 4* and a *Cyberpunk* sequel, meaning Hadar is likely still years away from release.
This marks an ambitious step for the Polish developer as it builds a brand-new universe from the ground up.
Fans can expect the studio’s signature focus on deep storytelling and expansive worlds in this fresh IP.
