ShinyHunters Hits Rockstar Games in Supply-Chain Breach - GTA 6 Details at Risk - briefly|
| (hx) 01:59 PM CEST - Apr,11 2026 | Hacking group ShinyHunters claimed on April 11, 2026, that it accessed Rockstar Games' Snowflake data warehouse through a breach at third-party analytics firm Anodot, rather than targeting Rockstar or Snowflake directly.
The group added Rockstar to its leak site and is demanding ransom by April 14, threatening to release financial records, player spending data, GTA 6 marketing timelines, voice actor contracts, and other sensitive information.
Snowflake confirmed a security incident involving Anodot that impacted a small number of customers, with hackers using stolen authentication tokens to gain access.
Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive have remained silent, with no sample data leaked so far.Experts believe the incident is unlikely to delay the planned November 2026 launch of GTA 6, as no game code or assets appear to be involved.
Update: Rockstar has confirmed the data breach in a new statement:
“We can confirm that a limited amount of non-material company information was accessed in connection with a third-party data breach. This incident has no impact on our organization or our players.
