Hardware Unboxed released new benchmarks pitting the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D against Intel's Core i9-12900K in 14 modern games, testing the Intel chip with both DDR4 and DDR5 memory. The 5800X3D, powered by its large 3D V-Cache, frequently outperformed the 12900K on DDR4 setups and remained competitive even against DDR5 configurations in many titles like Counter-Strike 2, Baldur's Gate 3, and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
