Firefox 149 Drops Urgent Patches for 37 Vulnerabilities, Including Critical Sandbox Escapes - tech

Mozilla released Firefox 149 on March 24, 2026, patching 37 vulnerabilities rated as high impact overall. The update addresses 16 high-severity flaws, including six sandbox escape vulnerabilities that could allow attackers to break out of isolation and execute arbitrary code on the host system. Memory corruption issues, use-after-free bugs, and JavaScript engine flaws were also fixed, with Mozilla warning that some could enable remote code execution with sufficient effort. Users should update immediately via the browser or Mozilla's security advisory page to stay protected.
