Chrome Emergency Patch: 8 High-Severity Flaws Could Let Hackers Hijack Your Browser - tech

Google has released a security update for Chrome that fixes eight high-severity vulnerabilities, several of which could allow remote code execution and compromise user systems. The flaws include heap buffer overflows in WebAudio and WebGL, use-after-free issues in Dawn, WebGPU, and FedCM, plus out-of-bounds reads and an integer overflow. Affected users on Windows, macOS, and Linux should update immediately to versions like 146.0.7680.164/165. Updates are rolling out gradually, and enterprises are urged to deploy them via patch management tools.
