Mewgenics is a tactical role-playing roguelike life simulation game developed by Edmund McMillen (of The Binding of Isaac fame) and Tyler Glaiel. Players breed and raise generations of cats to form teams for turn-based tactical combat, where each cat can only adventure once before retiring. Combat features grid-based strategy similar to Darkest Dungeon or XCOM, with mana management, environmental interactions, class-based abilities (like Hunters, Mages, Tanks), and unique mechanics like a plague system and skill combos.
