You may soon be able to play Xbox games in the cloud for free - briefly|
| (hx) 02:07 PM CEST - Oct,04 2025 | Microsoft revealed that the company is currently testing ad-supported cloud game streaming that lets employees play select games for free and without a Game Pass subscription. Before launching games, the service plays a two-minute ad pre-roll, and there is a one-hour per session limit with five sessions per month. As of right now, there is no information on what limits Microsoft considers for the public launch, so these could be temporary limits for internal testing.
Currently, if you pay for Game Pass, you can stream games from the catalog and select titles that you own. Since Microsoft is considering dropping the Game Pass requirement for Xbox Cloud Gaming, it could let you stream titles that you already own (like Nvidia GeForce NOW), games from the Free Play Days Program, and Xbox Retro Classics.
Microsoft reportedly plans to start public trials for the ad-supported Xbox Cloud Gaming tier in the coming months. It should be available on computers, Xbox consoles, handhelds, and web browsers. |

EV's were free from road fund tax for at least 4-5 years.
Now they are taxed as to how much recycle parts are in them and how cheap they were made regarding damage to the environment making them.
Bullshit.
How long will it be before gaming is entirely subscription based -you own nothing as it is - so it's the logical route to rip punters off and crush them by the nuts! Gaming is dying daily and loses mount.
| Tom | (06:58 PM CEST - Oct,04 2025 ) | I used to buy a ton of games, but for last bunch of years that has dropped by like 60+%. I buy a handful of games, and typically when they are on sale. I refuse to pay the prices they sell for now. I wait until 60% discounts or more. I don't care if it takes years, I can wait. As for subscriptions, never gonna happen. I will NEVER pay for a subscription to play games.
It's the dumb f's that pay $80+ for a game that are ruining gaming. Like Borderlands 4 for $90. Blow me! Only an idiot pays that. And on the release of that I knew there was 250,000 ganers with deep pockets and little brain. The other games sold for half or less of that price.
And to totally agree with you, will be free for a short time, once they lure morons into that, it will be discontinued and a price tag applied or some other restriction...
