Battlefield 6 will NOT run unless Secure Boot is enabled in your BIOS - briefly|
| (hx) 07:35 PM CEST - Aug,05 2025 | The pre-load for Battlefield 6's first Open Beta has begun, but players are encountering a new requirement: Secure Boot must be enabled in the BIOS to launch the game, according to user reports. Unlike earlier Battlefield titles such as BF 2042, BF V, and BF 1, which used EA's Javelin anti-cheat system without this mandate, Battlefield 6 will not run if Secure Boot is disabled. This change has sparked concerns among players, particularly those with older systems or custom configurations, as enabling Secure Boot may pose technical challenges. If your motherboard does not support it, you won’t be able to play it at all. Thankfully, YouTuber ‘Rollwith Punch’ has shared a video that shows how you can fix this.
