Brilliant, Murican. watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRfmNmnKYvs as for newer gpus "melting" it's the cables melting not the gpu. 99% when you fail to plug the cable in properly, demonstrated a lot of times on hardware repair channels. Yes, it's user fault most of the time.
