Counter-Strike 2 CPU Benchmarks: E-Core Challenges & X3D Benefits - tech|
| (hx) 11:26 AM CEST - Oct,10 2023 | This benchmark looks at Counter-Strike 2 CPU performance. Our #counterstrike CPU benchmarks faced struggles with constant game updates (although that's a good thing for the game itself), but one thing that remained consistent was high performance among AMD's Ryzen X3D CPUs, including the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPUs. We also found that, although Intel overall scaled OK, the 13900K specifically had 'too much of a good thing' with its E-cores. Disabling the E-cores dramatically improved frametime consistency, something that reflected in 1% and 0.1% lows.

One can only hope we get 6+Ghz 8, 12, 16 and 32 core CPUs without any shit cores on them.
Keeping eyebrows crossed.
Not sure Intel can deliver anything great on 7nm anymore though...
The CPU will burn a hole into the motherboard...
They really should be going for 2nm these days.
Oh, wait. They stopped making great things.
Nevermind then.
Apple and Qualcomm x86 CPUs are soon here.
So long Intel and thanks for all the CPUs! | |
