Call of Duty Warzone Pacific adds support for the anti-cheat system, Ricochet - briefly
(hx) 11:41 AM CET - Dec,08 2021
Activision and Raven Software announced that Call of Duty Warzone’s latest update adds support for RICOCHET. When you boot up Warzone Pacific, you’ll see the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat logo as part of the game’s loading screen. The kernel-driver installation process is automatic. Once available, when Warzone Pacific launches, the driver will launch with the game. When you exit the game, the driver will shut down. RICOCHET Anti-Cheat’s kernel-level driver operates only while playing Call of Duty: Warzone on PC. This driver will monitor the software and applications that interact with Call of Duty: Warzone. Additionally, the team claims that this anti-cheat will not be always-on. Furthermore, RICOCHET will use machine learning (AI) in order to further improve its security. Not only that, but Raven suggests using the two-factor authentication method in order to protect your account. Activision and Raven Software will provide updates on when the PC kernel-level driver rollout expands in other regions via their social channels.

As if DRM was not enough to kill your performance... lol

kernel-level driver

That does not warrant shit, lol
A security hole at best because it can bypass even OS security so they do whatever they want on your PC - including invading your privacy and data.
With that, I doubt the EU will tolerate this for too long.
Cheat detection needs to be solved on the server side.
