DX12 can completely fix the performance issues of GTA The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition - briefly|
| (hx) 10:59 AM CET - Nov,13 2021 | Take-Two and Rockstar have released the remastered versions of GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. However, it appears that these remasters have major performance issues on all next-gen platforms, including the PC.
Numerous PC users have reported performance issues in these remasters. Grand Theft Auto 3 Definitive Edition, particularly, appears to be running awful on high-end PC hardware.
And it looks like that the culprit behind these performance issues was the DirectX 11 API. And while consoles players cannot fix them, PC gamers can force DX12 in order to resolve them. In short, all you have to do is force DX12 via the game’s properties. It’s quite easy, and below you can find a guide by Joker. Joker also showcased the game running with constant 60fps!
