The documentary focuses on local game stores and the final days of physical media and the rise of digital distribution. Changing technology has affected everything from secondhand mom and pop retail stores to independent game developers. The documentary features interviews with several game store owners across the US and Canada. The film is available for purchase on Amazon.

Very sad the demise of second hand gaming. Picked up many a great game that I just wouldn’t buy, at the time, new. Manuals, charts, maps and keyboard overlay. Sigh....
My best, last ‘steal’ was a steel battalion (green) controller (shabby box) and both games for £20 or about $25. Absolute mint condition about 15 yr ago.
Anyone remember the promo boxes for Quake in the shops. About 3ft high? I had one of them. Carmageddon with Max Damage with red LED eyes lit up with a couple AA bats.
Ecstatica ring a bell with anyone. What classics has anyone else. I can’t remember off the top of my head - it’s that long ago what oldies I have stuffed in the garage. Still have a ton of PC boxes, flattened for storage. God I feel old.. :farao: :
