Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Free Edition - briefly

Steam now offers a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Free Edition alongside sales of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Full Edition, providing a new way to sample Valve's competitive shooter for Windows, macOS, and Linux. This allows players to set up offline matches against bots to check out the game and the I of its AI. It also permits owners to use GOTV to observe matches for free, just in time for the FACEIT London Major next weekend. This seems like the driving force behind this release, though it's a little odd to think that CS:GO tournaments have an untapped audience that doesn't actually play the game.
