DOOM Eternal Gameplay Video - movie|
| (hx) 01:10 AM CEST - Aug,11 2018 | id Software and Bethesda have revealed at QuakeCon 2018 the first gameplay footage for DOOM Eternal. Developed by id Software, DOOM Eternal promises to bring the ultimate combination of speed and power with the next leap in push-forward, first-person combat. As the DOOM Slayer, players will return to take theirr vengeance against the forces of Hell. Set to an all-new pulse pounding soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon, players will fight across dimensions as they slay new and classic demons with powerful new weapons and abilities. Unfortunately Bethesda did not reveal any release date window, so we are most likely looking at a 2019 (or even a 2020 release).
According to the developers, the id Tech 7 engine can display 10X higher geometry detail than id Tech 6.
Thanks to this new engine, DOOM Eternal will also feature levels/places we have never been before in a Doom game. id Tech 7 can also display greater texture fidelity than id Software has ever put on screen.
Furthermore, during the presentation id Software showcased some demons that can be destroyed. As the developers confirmed, players will be able to blast off chunks of armor and flesh from their enemies as they unleash their arsenal.
