2K Games is taking the Mafia series in a different direction. Set in New Orleans 1986, starring a new protagonist named Lincoln Clay. He is half-black and half-white and a Vietnam veteran, who has experienced many horrible things in his life as he grew up as an orphan. Violent racism was big subject during that period. He was constantly looking for a family which he finally found in the city’s black Mob. But after returning home from war, he finds that his family is brutally slaughtered by Italian mob. Lincoln with all the hate, sets off to take revenge, he build up an empire as he allies himself with other criminal gangs to dismantle the Italian mob piece by piece. Mafia III is in the works at Hangar 13 and will be released for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2016. |
