Witcher 3 Receives Two More DLC Packs For Free - briefly
(hx) 02:33 PM CEST - Jun,04 2015
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is proving to be the game that keeps on giving. Along with its massive RPG campaign and loads of side missions, the team at CD Projekt keeps rolling out pits and pieces of gratis DLC content. This week marks the arrival of DLC sets five and six, both of which can be added bolted onto your game with no strings attached, according to a recent announcement from GOG.com.
This week Geralt receives another outfit - the Nilfgaardian Armor Set: crafted from the finest materials available, the new armor includes a jacket, gloves, pants, boots and, literally, horse armor. Blend in with the enemy, or show off your true allegiance! Love killing things in hard-to-reach places? Whether it's thieving Harpies or majestic Griffins, the Elite Crossbow Set is there to bring down your enemies with lethal accuracy and extend your tactical possibilities. Grab the new free DLCs today (and if you haven't, check out the ones previously released, including a new contract, hairstyle & beard set, and a new look for Yennefer).

Installing the free DLC:

Here is how you can grab and install your new DLC in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Add the 16 FREE DLC Program to your account from its product page. It's like buying a game, but free.

If you're using GOG Galaxy:
--Select The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from the sidebar to open its game page.
--Click on the drop-down labeled "More", (located next to the PLAY button) and choose "Configure".
--The Configure page will feature all available DLCs listed towards the bottom.
--Select each DLC that you want to install, and GOG Galaxy will do the rest. If you want to remove the DLC from your game, simply uncheck the selection box.

Still feeling quite good about preordering the game.

This is what DLC should mean - extra content given to the purchaser as a value-add.

Expansion packs - that meaningfully extend the game - is another thing, charge (reasonably) for those.

do these armor sets give benefits other than visual ones? Like, if I start the game with them is the game easier?

You can't start the game with them but they are pretty nice bits of gear.
