February Xbox One update will add HDD management - console|
| (hx) 10:34 PM CET - Feb,05 2014 | Today, Microsoft does another 180 with the Xbox One by announcing that its next software update, due on February 11th, will finally add a way for owners to view and manage storage space on the console. The update will also add a battery indicator to show owners how much power is left in their wireless controller and it will allow USB keyboards to be used on the console for the first time. Whitten also said there will be some backend improvements with this update for Xbox One app and game developers, along with upgrades for Kinect voice command use. More details about the Feb. 11 update will be revealed soon. March 4th will also see the Xbox One get another software update, which will include "improvements to our party and multiplayer systems", according to Whitten. The update will be released one week before the launch of "Titanfall", the sci-fi shooter that is expected to be a huge hit for the console.
With this update, you will find it easy to find how much space your content takes up and better manage your content. You can also control your install lineup and more easily manage your download queue. We've separated My Games and My Apps into separate lists, so you can easily create separate queues for both. Now you can pick the order in which you want your content to load and we've added a boot progress indicator so you can better track updates while they load.

Hdd management?
Here's the command to make a partition for games and apps on their mighty next gen console...... Enjoy
FDISK 1/PRI:100
Next month, M$ add a floppy drive.... FFS
| sikapossu | (06:50 AM CET - Feb,06 2014 ) | | same is with sony they add stuff on firmwares to ps4 long after console was out | |
| Sabot | (10:26 PM CET - Feb,06 2014 ) | That's true, but there's a difference -as Hx says- in going forwards rather than M$ permanent rewind feature. They say one thing then have continually retracted statements since long before the stupid console was released.
Permanent online connection needed, no used games, kinnect can't be switched off and on and on it goes......
Every company has hyped up hardware or games but this lot are taking USED PS3's to give you a miserly $100 (up to!) credit for use with an Xbox one!
Imagine Porsche saying, bring in your ford escort and we'll give you $100 towards our range? Erm.. don't think so. But you could see Ford saying, bring in your Porsche and we'll give you $100 towards our Ford range!!
Desperate and so would Sony be if they did the same. So far it's M$ scrapping the bottom of the barrel..
