DOOM 3 BFG Edition Release Date Announced - console

DOOM 3 BFG Edition is slated for release in North America on October 16, 2012 and throughout Europe on October 19, 2012. DOOM 3 BFG Edition will feature re-mastered versions of both DOOM 3 and the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack, as well seven new levels of content entitled 'The Lost Mission.' DOOM 3 BFG Edition will be available in North America on PC for $29.99 and on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $39.99.
Re-mastered for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, DOOM 3 and it's expansion pack offer enhanced visuals further immersing you in the demonic world like never before. DOOM 3, Resurrection of Evil, and 'The Lost Mission' have been optimized in 3D, featuring 5.1 surround sound, Xbox 360 Achievements, PlayStation 3 trophies, improved rendering and lighting, and a new check point save system allowing for smoother progression through the game

Loved the game and the remastered looks fantastic with the added eye-candy. Now bad looking for a 2004 game! :) Get working on DOOM4!!!

There is no fucking difference. C'mon people are ya blind!? Why you think they flash the screen every fucking second, so you can't see the shit textures etc. I ain't buying that shit. It should be a free download for PC. Good luck with sales guys! Destined for the bargain bin!!

Tom, since you don't play in 3D. The difference between an HD game and a 3D game is chalk and cheese. All my 3D content is superb visually and better than PC in 2D. Switch said game to HD and, granted it's better than a bog standard version un enhanced, but we're talking 3D optimised. Crysis 2 positively shit on 2D in 3D.
Ico and shadow of the colossus in 3D is just pure bliss. Anyway
, it's hardly going to be sold at break the bank prices. £22 in the UK

Meh.. it was fine for the time. Only issue was there was no official addon for weapons to have the built-in flashlight but sorta saw why it was left to the modders as part of the "charm" was going through the game in darkness and having to manually switch to the light source. Gameplay-wise it was an interesting device but in RL thank fcuking gawd its not the case ;)
