At the Microsoft booth today, a pre-beta build was shown off that included new features that are not currently included in the developers preview.

The interface looks like they're trying to copy some of the third party ones you can use now. The touch stuff seems pointless for desktops though. It might come in handy if all laptops where touch and could be turned into a giant tablet. That only goes so far though and doesn't seem as useful in most situations. I really think they need to allow you a much easier way to remove useless features such as this without resorting to third party software.
I've seen no mentions of improved I/O and filesystem changes among other things. Makes me wonder who is actually impressed or likes these videos. Typical end users only end up on a newer version of windows because it's the only thing offered at retailers. It has nothing to do with how shiny or cool the icons look.
