 Skyrim UI mod v1.0 - mod&map
(hx) 11:53 PM CET - Dec,18 2011
There have already been a nice plethora of new mods available for Bethesda's recently released mega-open-world RPG, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. You can download the new Nexus UI mod for Skyrim right now, enabling users to get better visual interface benefits from using the standard keyboard and mouse.
SkyUI is mod that aims to improve Skyrim's User Interface by making it easier to use with mouse and keyboard, less wasteful of available screen space and nicer to look at.

We do all that while keeping true to the style of the original UI, so new and old components are integrated seamlessly.

It is not our goal to re-create the complete interface from scratch. Instead we try to identify and change areas that need improvement, while leaving the things that are already good alone.

Further general objectives and design concepts are:
Finding a good balance between 'dumbed down' and 'information overkill'.
Easy installation and setup by providing a user-friendly installer with the Nexus Mod Manager.
Great customization support by using a separate configuration file.
Blending features in as good as possible - players shouldn't feel reminded that they're using a mod.

Bought this game this morning. Not bad, played it a few hours. Level 4 already! Woo! I like it better than Two Worlds II and Oblivion. Thanks for the mod info, couldn't believe how bad the UI is in this game and this mod looks like it improves it greatly.

Did you buy retail?
Does it require internet connection?

It uses Steam.

So yeah, you do need to be online once to activate it on steam (even if you install from the disc). After that it has no problem starting in offline mode.

Having a problem with the website. It's not loading for me.

The UI was the biggest problem with the game. They really needed to spend the extra day or so on giving PC users a hotbar or something.

Thus this UI mod, it improves inventory at the least. Ya there could be time spent to make this more pc friendly but I doubt that was their goal.

Well, anything you add to your fav's can be added to a number 1-8 hi light whatever u added to ur fav and press any number up to 8, shitty hotbar but better then nothing.

Doesn't work for dual wielding though...

Ok, sounds good, that's what I wanted to know.
I'll place an order on Amazon then.

works for me, press hotkey twice for same thing in both hands (if you have two of the same thing or if you are using spell). What it does need is some kind of swap key for equipped stuff and some alt-bar, where in one bar with 1-8 I have, for example, destruction spells, and in al-bar i have conjuration or something else. I use more then 8 spells so 1-8 is a bit restrictive not to mention that my FAV menu looks the same as my inventory or magic screen lol :D
