Battlefield 3 beta saw 8 million players - briefly|

DICE just released the stats (thanks BF3Blog) for the Battlefield 3 beta which wrapped up a week ago. The beta was available for 10 days on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and during those 10 days, it generated some impressive numbers, to say the least:
8,125,310 players participated in the beta
1.5 billion kills
47 billion shots were fired
21 million M-COM stations were destroyed
19 million gamers lost their dog tags
According to numerous reports, the PC version of Battlefield 3 has been leaked on various torrent sites. So far it’s only the Russian version of Battlefield 3 that has been leaked, and according to those who have tried to download it, the installer and in-game languages are set to Russian :-D The game weighs in at just under 10GB, and appears to have been leaked by one of the Russian retailers who got an early batch of games. |

My preorder is in and I can't wait, best FPS I have played for a long time the huge vehicle map in the Beta was awesome. BF3 for the PC and probably MW3 for the XBox will be my 2 big purchases until after Christmas. |
