- Intel Discontinues X-25E SSD Line - Intel
has announced that it will be discontinuing its X-25E SSD line and will
replace it with the 710 Series for enterprise users. The X-25E SSDs use
50nm SLC NAND Flash memory, which is in short supply, so Intel is
dropping that line of drives by the wayside. The 710 Series use 25nm
MLC-HET NAND Flash memory and will arrive in the middle of August, and
seeing how the X-25E SSDs will be discontinued on July 11th, there will
be a slight gap between them.

just released IE10 Platform Preview 2.

which was released about 11 weeks ago.

S. More phones are expected to support the new Android Skype app in the
future. The new feature will allow people who own those phones to make
free video calls to other Skype users with PCs, Macs, iPhone, and Skype
enabled televisions. The video phone features will work with both WiFi
and 3G wirEless connections. Of course, Skype also allows for calls to
landlines at paid rates.
- Adobe Pulls Consumers In - Adobe is
attempting to court dissatisfied users of Final Cut Pro X and Avid
Media Composer announcing its plans to offer a such consumers a 50
percent discount on either Premiere Pro CS5.5 or CS5.5 Production
Premium.

Performance-Enhancing Code - Author Vasik Rajlich and his
teammates allegedly enhanced the engine's performance
by injecting it with uncredited source code from other
engines. The cheating was reportedly noticed when Rybka began making
similar moves to the other engines.

subway stations - Tesco, known as Homeplus in South Korea,
has set up virtual grocery stores at subway stations,
so people waiting for the subway can do some quick shopping before
dinner.
- U.S. Navy Bought 59000 Fake Chinese Microchips - Last
year, the U.S. Navy bought 59,000 microchips for use in everything from
missiles to transponders and all
of them turned out to be counterfeits from China.
Wired reports the chips weren't only low-quality fakes, they had been
made with a 'back-door' and could have been remotely shut down at any
time.

follows the story of warrior prince Theseus as he leads men into battle
against imprisoned titans in order to save mankind.
- Brave Teaser Trailer - Brave
is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is
the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Connolly) and Queen
Elinor (Thompson).
- Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy: World exclusive
international teaser - This
is his new British spy thriller
starring a hell of a cast: Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy, along with Oscar
winner Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Stephen Graham and
Benedict Cumberbatch. It's only a quick first trailer, but it's an
awesome glimpse of what's to come, and it looks like it's going to be
quite a fascinating vintage spy thriller.
