Zero interest in this game anymore except on console. PC is such a total piece of shit with rampant cheats out there. I heard on another forum that it's probably something like 1 in 5 players cheat in BO on PC. Not one aimbot or wallhack is blocked and then there are others who made their own custom hacks. Not to mention 9/10 servers have no admins or admins that have given up fighting hackers.

Normally I don't chime in when I see comments like that, but what you're saying is just outright absurd.

That 1 in 5 cheat on PC... when someone says that, what comes to mind immediately is the willingly ignorant console-fanboy. Even when I've played CSS regularly, I rarely saw a cheater and most of the time the cheater was either temp banned by vote or perma banned by an admin.

Also, a lot is said on internet forums, and almost all stats are made up on the spot. Like that 9/10 statistic you made of servers with no admins. If anything, it's 1 in 10 don't have any regular admins on. Even if the server you're on has no admin on, you can always get in touch with the admin and let them know there's a cheater on.

All servers are owned by someone, and to start a server up and get people to join it takes a lot of work. Keeping regulars also takes work. And no one person has enough time to do all this, so they get some of their regulars to moderate it. Black Ops is integrated with Steam, so you can easily either join a steam group for the server or add the server admins to your friends list and easily contact them. If the server owner got his/her server started, then just stopped maintaining it, it would lose its regulars and eventually die out. I've spent a lot of time trying to populate servers I either enjoy or am an admin on, and I wouldn't want all that time to go to waste because I decided either not to report the cheater or not to deal with cheaters on my server.

Lastly, it is no harder to hack on console than it is on PC. If anything, it's harder to get away with it on PC with all the sites which share cheaters' information and people working together to ban cheaters. With consoles, all you get is no dedicated way to share cheaters' information, no server admins, and at most you can only kick the cheater and report him. While in-game reports can work, there are usually a lot of them and it takes plenty of time for someone to review it, and with all those reports, something can be missed.

There's no uber-being which can ban all cheaters from games. Everyone needs to work together to rid games of cheaters.

What a bunch of crap. I have BO in PC and there's no cheaters. Obviously now and then someone appears. With now and then I mean once or twice a month. When I saw tons and tons of cheaters is on the COD free weekends but I tink BO doesnt had one of those (MW2 yes).

And if you see a cheater it gets kicked away almost inmediatly. Is very hard to find a server without admin alarm out there.

Me and a couple of friends own a modded BO server (24/7) and we have like 500 alarms a month and most of them is technical issues with the server like a high ping player not automatically kicked, lag or warping issues and so (and a bunch of players asking different rotations/mods). Most of them they auto fix when the next map is loaded. In severe cases a server reboot is needed. We hardly see a cheater and if it appears we sent a VAC-Ban request and upload a video sequence to Steam so they cant undone they engine ban claiming it was an error or some kind of mistake. Personally if I work on Steam, I will disable the entire account.

Finally, every person in this planet who plays in console an FPS that is also on PC, is a retard (if they have a PC of course).
