CD Projekt has unveiled the system requirements for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, their upcoming role-playing sequel.
Miminum System Requirements:
* OS: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista SP2 / Windows 7 (32/64-bit)
* Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
* Memory: 1 GB Windows XP / 2 GB Windows Vista and Windows 7
* Video Card: 512 MB RAM, supporting Pixel Shader 3.0 (Nvidia GeForce 8800 or ATI Radeon HD3850)

Recommended System Requirements:
* OS: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista SP2 / Windows 7 (32/64-bit)
* Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD Phenom X4

those are some pretty high requirements considering the fact that game looks almost the same as first part did, only thing added is paralax mapping on some objects.

I don't think so; at least the minimum requirement is slower than the PC I bought three years ago - and played Witcher 1 on that flawlessly (only a few frame rate issues at the endgame when everything was burning)...

I take those recommended as some sort of minimal req. to be able to to put things on "high" and get 30fps :P

Reqs seem fine to me.

The videos were good and the specs seem high enough to justify the quality we witnessed.

framerates in gameplay video aren't really brilliant :/ That's why I initially said that about reqs.

If there is one thing I learnt about gameplay videos: do not trust them.
