Trion Worlds today announced RIFT will launch on March 1, 2011 in North America and March 4, 2011 in Europe. Pre-order for the MMORPG is open, and pre-orders will receive one of three exclusive in-game pets, and eligibility to participate in the game's "Head-Start" period which will begin on February 24th. Available for purchase online and at select retail outlets, the Standard, Digital Collector’s and Retail Collector’s Editions of the game will sell for $49.99, $59.99 and $79.99 USD, respectively. The standard monthly subscription rate for the game will be $14.99 USD.

I have been invited to beta but despite the invite key and all, I still cannot access the game. I was really willing to try it out but it seems they only sporadically open the game servers for play. I can't be bothered to check it all the time.
From what I have seen, it's all bark but no bite for now. Trailers speak of revolutionary gameplay etc. but all I saw was plain mmorpg with some average gfx at best.
