The rumors were true, Bioware has started development on Mass Effect 3. The third installment of the series received a full reveal at last nights VGAs. The trailer shows off some great CG work but more importantly it gives us some info on the game. Mass Effect 3 is due out Holiday 2011 on Xbox 360, PC, and PS3.

sorry i loved morrowind and the 1st 2 gothic games, but oblivion was crap in comparison to morrowind to me. i however do play the oblivion mod nehrim and have gotten so much more enjoyment out of it than i have from oblivion that plus the OOO MMM warcry and other mods are the only things that made oblivion worth playing to me

Well, if you didn't like Mass Effect, then RPGs are not your type of game, i personally loved them, especially the Mass Effect Franchise, i have completed Mass Effect over 100 times, sadly, i lost my saves, so i had to start over.
Mass Effect 2, i have completed about 50 times, i have got a male shep with Tali Romanced and a female with Liara romanced, no need to play it again to be honest.

ME is not RPG. NWN for example is RPG. Baldur's gate is RPG, ES: morrowind is RPG, G1/2/3 is RPG.
ME1/2, G4 arkadia, oblivion and such are action RPGs at best but I would call them Action Adventure games. Ok, ME1 was closer to RPG than ME2 but still...
nevertheless, ME series is very good, I like them and I am looking forward to more story unfolding :P
as for oblivion...meh. It was decent when it came out, but today, meh. Tryied it with OOO mod and it still just an oblivion, shoddy movement, boring combat, stupid coerce and emptiness everywhere. Whole world is like a nuke fell there 1000 years ago and now there is some population again. Gothic rules. :P

ah i see, so since i didnt like mass effect i must not like rpgs...good analysis
i have one too... i think Deus Ex: HR is gonna be an overhyped letdown that butchers what we loved about the original just to cater to a more casually focused crowd just for sales.
but what do i know, i apparently dont like rpgs at all because i didnt like a console port
theres only a few rpgs ill be saving my $$ for, and they are actually more action based rpgs. sitting around clicking on which dialog option i want is not what i am looking forward too when it comes to character development.

Ohhhhh, conversation based rpgs are not your type of game, which means you will not enjoy the SWTOR mmo when it comes out and i assume you didn't like Kotor either?

Since when do i buy a game because the local forum just doesn't like the genre? Maybe if it's a particular game or franchise that is clearly bugged or milked to death (Vegas Fallout 3 an example) that's ok, but because of an opinion..............:whdat:
