- VLC heading to all iOS devices: iPhone, iPod
touch, and Apple TV too? - Applidium, the company behind
that fantastic VLC media player that was recently released
for iPad, has just announced they have a universal version
presently going through the iTunes App Store scrutiny. Once it makes it
through, you’ll be able to use VLC on any iOS device which
leads me to believe that also counts for Apple TV too.

click - With a single click you can root any Android
device out there, the SuperOneClick tool is what used to root the Droid
X, but now it’s been updated to included the whole lot.
- Mitsubishi Live Drive Offers Online Test Drive
(video) - Mitsubishi is launching a
new campaign called Live Drive, by which they enable people
to take a virtual test drive of their cars over the Internet. Now you
might think what's the big deal, it's a just a simulator. But you see,
it's not! You might take control of the car like a video game, but it's
actually connected to a real car which is remotely controlled by you.
That does not make much sense, because as far as you are not in the car
to feel the ride and everything, what's the point of all this
complexity?! And God knows how many cars people are going to crash!
- New Acer netbooks to dual-boot Android - According
to DigiTimes, Aspire One netbooks based on Intel's new dual-core Atom
CPU will come pre-loaded with Google's Android
operating system in addition to Windows 7. Android might seem like an
odd choice for a device that lacks a touchscreen, but it should load
much faster than Windows, making it ideal for those moments when you
just want to quickly check your email or get in a few minutes of
surfing.
- Skype for Android hacked and cracked to allow 3G
calling - That Skype app for Android we thought was locked
down to Wi-Fi only has just been cracked a few days after its release. The .apk is provided by xeudoxus
over at Droid Forums, he tweaked it to get that pesky 3G block off, and
apparently its working like a charm. So now all we need is an .apk that
works on the Samsung Galaxy S.

- Official US Trailer for Chris Morris' Comedy 'Four
Lions' - A story of a group of British jihadists who

to the breaking point. As the wheels fly off, and their ideologies
clash, what emerges is an emotionally engaging (and plausible) farce.
This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by
Drafthouse Films for US distribution. Four Lions will arrive in limited
theaters starting on November 5th.
