IPTV functionality coming to Xbox 360 November 7 - console|
| (hx) 12:15 AM CEST - Oct,09 2010 | | After promising folks at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show
that Xbox 360 users would soon be able to use their console as a IPTV
tuner, Microsoft may finally be delivering on its promise. According to a report on Engadget,
leaked slides and screenshots showing a November 7 date of IPTV
functionality for Xbox 360 and AT&T’s U-Verse have
surfaced. There is a catch, however--two catches, to be exact.
Engadget's sources say that to use the service, there must be at least
one DVR already in the home and activated to the service, which can
provide up to four streams of HD video. Also, only Xbox 360s with hard
drives will support U-Verse. The addition of IPTV will come on the
heels of the fall Xbox Live update, which will go live sometime before
November 4. Features included in the update are Netflix search, ESPN 3
TV, and more lifelike avatars. (thanks GameSpot)

Or lack of.
If it's unlimited...ok then.
If it NOT unlimited...not so ok.
Since broadband is regulated the way it is...and AT&T is WHORE...I expect this to be an ass raping.
Or, unlimited at first, and then turn into an ass raping down the road.
Good luck. | |
