Gears of War 3 Officially Announced - console

Big things are happening in the world of Gears of War. The third entry in Epic Game's third-person shooter series Gears of War will indeed be released on Xbox 360 in April 2011, design director Cliff Bleszinski affirmed on last night's episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Cliff Bleszinski premiered the game's debut trailer and confirmed several details, including the presence of tentacled foes, female soldiers and a double-barreled shotgun.

Update:Cliffy B just sent out a tweet confirming the rumors that Gears of War 3 will have 4 player story co-op: "Also, Rod confirmed and I'm posting it here: 4 player integrated story co op in the campaign!"
