F.3.A.R to be Officially Announced Next Month - briefly|

According to an untitled Spanish gaming magazine the third full installment in Monolith’s F.E.A.R franchise should be getting it’s official announcement next month. The magazine shows off a teaser promo image of an adult pregnant Alma (the little girl dressed in red) standing in front of two men, one armed with a machine gun and the other whit a bullet wound in his forehead. The trio is standing above a city engulfed in flames. On the left hand side of the promo contains the Spanish words “Próximo Número†which translates into Next Issue. So obviously we’ll have to wait until next month to hear any more details of F.3.A.R. |

Ya really that's what got me on the sequel too. I agree Koogle, the first one was ok but after that it was the same old same old for me. I tried to get into the new MP and stuff and at the start there was a lot playing, but everyone vanished back to FEAR 1 MP and I just totally lost interest. Have to be a lot new in the next one to sucker me again... |

Them making just the FEAR1 MP free was a good idea, perhaps more were playing that . I have it installed but haven't played in a while. It really was a decent MP in the original, something different from COD4 which I think I was playing then.
As for FEAR2 I think it was the over usage of shader effects, gimmicky, less gritty, by that I don't mean that it didn't have blood, it just felt like it was a console targeted game (ie Consoletarded ), kinda lost the soul of the original. I think even maps were less memorable. And that mech was just stupid, how can I have any sense of feeling vulnerable in a game environment if you've got shit like to use. Rubbish bad changes all round basically. Guns looked a little better but perhaps too flashy, at the sametime the FOV just didn't feel right for them and satisfaction of using them was 'lackluster' experience which kinda sums up the game really.
Even the glass bullet shattering effects from FEAR1 vs FEAR2 looked more realistic in the first.
