Windows 7 Tip of the Day: God Mode - tech|

Want a good way to access all the control panel options in Windows 7 in one easy location? Simply make a folder on your desktop and rename it GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and you are all set. (thanks Webtlk.com)
1. Right click on any bank space on your desktop.
2. Click new from the menu and create a New Folder.
3. Rename the folder as follow: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
4. DO NOT use this trick on Vista 64X and Windows 7 64X. It will cause your Windows to crash!

This did work in Vista, pretty sure I did it but the last service pack changed something and it would error out. I never bothered with it much and never found it useful but someone mentioned that it worked in the Win 7 beta so I tried it way back when. |
