Definitely getting this game. I own all the BF series practically. They are so dated now when you play them, this will be a very refreshing update. for $15 who can complain.

the only part of battlefield i ever truly enjoyed was desert combat.
it got way to arcadish after that for my taste. vietnam and battlefield 2 were crappy in my book.
its kinda sad that theres virtually no competion to battlefield.

Frontlines: Fuel of War is a HUGE overlooked game and imo, definitely superior to BF in almost every way. I switched to FFoW because I got sick of the crap gfx in BF series.

Fuel of War maybe a ok shooter for a console but its ridiculously arcadish for a pc shooter. its way worse then bf in that respect.

Seems pretty clear to me you never played it. Arcadish in what sense? Give a few examples.

i actually just played it yesterday if you want i can make you a movie ^^.
and everything about is screems arcade. that you can run around with an asault rifle at full speed shooting and hit something for example. or for that matter that you can shoot it at all while running. the complete weapon handling reminds me of gears of war.
and before you ask rainbow six would be an example of not arcadish weapon handling.
the vehicles feel like unreal tournament, or even worse since they are loosly based on real vehicles in contrast to unreal (i hate ut before anyone gets a strange idea)
even the way the weapons are used is arcadish. like the usp or mk 23 (that wat it is even if they dont call it that) without a slide lock, or that you take out a seprete gun when you switch to the granade laucher on the xm8.
i dont see any better gfx either, i mean its more stylized then bf but thats more of a turndown for me then a plus.
