Red Dead Redemption Announced - briefly|

Rockstar Games has announced
Red
Dead Redemption, an open-world western-genre title based on the same 3D
engine as GTA IV. Red Dead Redemption is a sequel to the 2004 title Read Dead
Revolver, both games being products of the folks at Rockstar San Diego - not to
be confused with the Rockstar North team that developed the GTA series. The
official website describes Red Dead Redemption's storyline like so: "At the turn
of the 20th century, when the chaotic badlands began to give way to the
expanding reach of government and the spread of the Industrial Age, a former
outlaw, John Marston, is sent across the American frontier to help bring the
rule of law." The game is coming in the fall of 2009. Rockstar hasn't announced
platforms yet, but if it's anything like GTA IV, it could come out for both
next-gen consoles and the PC. Then again, the original Read Dead Revolver was a
console exclusive. |
