Left 4 Dead Patch #1 - patch

As promised by Valve, the first major patch for their hit zombie co-op shooter Left 4 Dead has now been released and is available via Valve's Steam service. The patch addresses a variety of bugs and exploits, and also includes a few balancing tweaks to the game's Infected classes. In particular, fans of the Smoker class in Versus mode will be pleased to note that Valve has apparently buffed its attacks, increasing the effectiveness and damage of its tongue ability. For those of you who happen to own an Xbox 360 version of the game a patch for that port is still in the works.
