- Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath SecuROM Fix -
EA Customer support has
links to a SecuROM Command and Conquer file to patch version 1.01 of
Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath. It fixes Explorer crashes when you right
click on program icon.
- Strategic Command 2: Patton Drives East patch v1.01 -
The patch is packed full of new improvements to the main game and
editor. It also includes a new Video Acceleration setting to help those with
slow map scroll speeds.
- Silent Hill: Homecoming PC confirmed -
Kotaku had a little look at Silent Hill: Homecoming this week, and can
reveal that the game will now release on PC as well as 360 and PS3.
- Project Origin to Include Benchmarking Tool - Project Origin does
come with a benchmarking tool. A demo is going to come out as well, but they
don't have a date for it yet.
- Mythos and Hellgate Forums Closing - The
Mythos Forums and
Hellgate: London Forums now reflect the troubled state of Flagship
Studios, as there are unceremonious announcements on each that the forums
are being closed.
- Geometry Wars 2 Preview (Xbox 360) - Along with the expected new
enemies and four-person offline multiplayer,
Geometry Wars 2: Retro Evolved 2 packs five new modes in addition to the
original's Survival. Why no online multiplayer? "There's too much going on
to do this over Live," explained Microsoft director of digitally distributed
games Scott Austin.
- 360 installs improve load times by 30% - According to
this Gamespot article, Microsoft’s supposedly seen a 30 percent
improvement in load times on games installed to the 360 hard drive, although
no direct source is given.
