At a press event held in Tokyo yesterday,
Konami
revealed that production has wrapped on
Metal Gear Solid 4
and the game is on track for its June 12 release date (PS3). During his
presentation, Kojima detailed some of the product placement contained within the
game, including a 30GB iPod, Triumph Motorcycle's Bonneville T100, Sony
Ericsson's W62S cell phone, and popular Japanese products like Regain energy
drink and Ga-ko, a duck-shaped alarm clock and Playboy magazines. The iPod can
be used to play music found during the game, with Kojima demonstrating the
feature by playing a light jazz melody whilst massacring enemy soldiers. Konami
has revealed the first ten minutes of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4. I would
strongly advise not to watch the video and enjoy playing the game firsthand but
again you can't wait, can't you ;-)

The ingenuity of the Japanese never ceases to amaze me this is what i call quality programming, design and plot. Metal gear series have showed time and time again new benchmarks in gaming. These are people who truly love their work and the final product shows their creative talents, what a team, well done.
