Fallout 3
  • Fallout 3 Gameplay Details Emerge - Joystiq got their hands on the newest issue of Game Informer, which has some of the first details on how the upcoming Fallout 3 will actually play. Those who were worried of Post-Apocalyptic Oblivion should find some solace in the amount of Fallout style that has been retained. Remnants from previous Fallout titles include: The Karma system (9 to 12 different endings based on your actions in the game), the ability to sneak and talk your way through the game, turn-based combat is possible using Vault-tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S.), Radiation poisoning. They'll also be reworking the third-person mode from Oblivion due to negative feedback. Fallout 3 is tentatively slated for a Fall 2008 release.
  • Alan Wake is Vista-exclusive - Perhaps some people knew this already, but  I had hoped it will be released on the XP too. Well, it won't. Looks like I've to buy Vista to have "game" loader for the upcoming titles.
  • Death Track: Resurrection Announced - 1C Company announces Death Track: Resurrection, an upcoming successor to the futuristic combat racing in Death Track Racing in the works at Skyfallen Entertainment.
  • Memento Mori Announced - DTP announces Memento Mori, an upcoming adventure game centered around a mysterious conspiracy surrounding some art theft
  • Colin McRae: DIRT patch - Codemasters now offers a new patch for Colin McRae: DIRT, updating the latest installment in the rally racing series to version 1.1 (thanks Gamer's Hell). The update mainly addresses bugs, and word is that patched and unpatched games will not be able to participate in races together. There is also a warning that the patch must be applied to a completely clean install of the game.
  • Theatre of War Patch Overview Video - The first patch for Theatre of War is expected soon and will include, besides many improvements and enhancements, also a completely free new campaign (Battle fron Moscow 1941) including ten huge and brand new maps and a new map editor!
  • Bioshock Emerges From European Depths On August 24 -  Take 2 Interactive have announced the following UK release dates: Civilisation 4: Beyond the Sword - 20th July 2007 || Bioshock - 24th August 2007.
  • Sam & Max Episodes Coming To Steam - Each will sell for $8.95, with 10% off during the first week of sales. To further sweeten the deal, episodes 1-3 are available as a bundle for $19.95. Episodes 4-6, also available as a bundle, also available for $19.95. In other news, TVShowsOnDVD.com repors that Shout Factory is preparing a DVD release of the entire Saturday morning series. No release date or extra features have been announced.
  • The Sims: Pet Stories - Electronic Arts announced that The Sims Pet Stories for the PC has arrived on retail shelves.
  • GTA IV Episodic Content Confirmed As 360-Exclusive - OK, no, it wasn't a mistake: GTA IV's episodic content is going to be a 360-only affair, a Take-Two spokesperson has confirmed.
  • Skate versus Tony Hawk - See the new trailers (PS3 / Xbox 360) - Skate - Agent Orange Trailer | Skate - Flickit Controls Featuring Mike Carroll || Tony Hawks Proving Ground - Debut trailer
  • PS3 firmware 1.81 update - Those interested can grab the PS3 v1.81 (USA) Firmware or the PS3 v1.81 (EUR) Firmware. The added .01 corrects the error that sees an HDMI color setting reverting each time the system is turned off. It also promises to improve network stability for PlayStation 2 games that support online play.
  • Sony says sorry to Church of England - Sony has apologized to the Church of England about any offense that may been caused regarding the use of Manchester Cathedral in the game Resistance: Fall of Man

Alan Wake is Vista-exclusive. Well thats just balls MS just paid them shit loads of money to do it, there making this game for a good few years now why the hell would you cut out XP since its still on 90% pc's ?

As far as I am concerned it would take roughly 2 hours to make "the switch".
1 minute to find the torrent. Wait for an hour while downloading and checking up for drivers. Install and tweak for another hour. Comparably the preformance is on par between the both now as far as I can see...

But if you are reaaaaaally either law abiding *cough*, stubborn, lazy or just uninterested: Wait a day after the release to get a XP patch from some crafty bugger.

I bet those publishers that made 'Vista only' titles -sucking up M$ butt are regretting it now.
Vista made for games...it's so full of hardware problems and poor game support, In other words a 'screw up!'
Vista is doing nothing for PC gaming at its present rate.
