  • IBM's New CPU Hits 4.7GHz without Breaking a Sweat -  While Intel and AMD continue to duke it out on the CPU front, the guys at IBM have unveiled a new dual-core processor that can hit 4.7GHz without sucking up so much power.

Wow, I really wasn't expecting DDR3 for another while. Glad it's finally here. Looking at the test results there is not much performance increase over DDR2 but it's just early days yet. I was almost tempted to upgrade to core 2 duo, but this is too good to miss. Will have to see what the mobo makers can do, and probably get a quadcore chip :)
