Microsoft to Release 512MB Memory Unit for Xbox 360 - console|
| (hx) 10:44 AM CET - Mar,05 2007 | Microsoft has officially announced the
increase in the XBLA size limit that we all knew was coming. On top of that,
they have also announced new 512MB memory cards, in order to facilitate the
increased XBLA size. The 512MB Memory Unit, available worldwide beginning April
3, will retail for an estimated retail price of $49.99 in North America. The
512MB Memory Unit will be pre-loaded with the Xbox LIVE Arcade game "Geometry
Wars: Retro Evolved" from developer Bizarre Creations Ltd. for a limited time.
The original 64MB Memory Unit will simultaneously drop in price from $39.99 to
$29.99.
While a bigger memory unit is good news for owners of Core systems, the
announcement that all Xbox Live Marketplace users are waiting for is one about a
bigger hard drive.
