  • EverQuest: The Buried Sea Announced - Sony Online Entertainment announced EverQuest The Buried Sea, a new expansion for the MMORPG, EverQuest. EverQuest The Buried Sea will only be available via digital download beginning February 13th, for the suggested retail price of U.S. $29.99.
  • Ragnarok Online 2 Revealed - This press release  reveals development of a sequel for Gravity's MMORPG sequel. The story is about the Asian distribution deal, inadvertently revealing the unannounced title.
  • UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 Announced - The release focuses primarily on the Xbox 360 edition, but the game will also appear on PS2, PSP, and mobiles, and for the PC in European territories. Word is: "UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 will be released on March 23, 2007 in anticipation of the real-world tournament that culminates in the UEFA Champions League Final in May.
  • Infernal Q&A - FiringsSquads has an Infernal Q&A, asking Pawel Miechowski of Metropolis Software about this third person action game. Topics include the game's back story, the singleplayer campaign, unique gameplay elements and the game's use of the AGEIA PhysX accelerator. According to interview, the game is done. It should be in stores at the end of Q1 this year.
  • Burn - Trailer -  Bun is a first Person Shooter which allows the player to fight with others in multi player mode, as well as a singleplayer experience against AI bots. The high-res clip offer a combined three and a half minutes of action-packed gameplay footage
  • Command & Conquer 3 Preview - Also IGN, Eurogamer, GameSpy and Strategy Informer have posted their previews of  Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. The game is scheduled for a March 28th release.
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl movie - THQ has released another S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl movie, showing a minute and a half of cinematic and ingame footage
  • Supreme Commander movie - Yet another new movie trailer for Supreme Commander has been released to again show more of this sci-fi 3D real-time strategy game being beta tested at Gas Powered Games. This trailer comes in medium and extremely high resolutions to outline the game's premise and features in nearly a minute of in-engine sequences.
  • The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar movie - There is another new movie trailer for The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar to show off the fantasy massively online multiplayer RPG in development at Turbine Entertainment.
  • Corum Online Beta Game Client - The Closed Beta Game Client for the Free to Play MMORPG Corum Online started 5:00PM on January 10, 2007. You need to register at http://www.gpotato.com/register/index.php to play this Beta.
  • Neverwinter Nights 2 v1.03 to v1.04 Beta Patch - Bioware has released a beta version of its upcoming v1.04 patch, only for the English edition of the game and requires you to have v1.03. It includes bug fixes, improvements and even some new features. This file removes the v1.04 Beta patch from Neverwinter Nights 2.
  • Bungie Update - Halo 3 Environments & Destructable Grass - The newest Bungie weekly update is all about the Halo 3 environments. So far, we have apparently not even seen one pixel of the new destructable environments, including grass that blows with the wind and gets displaced when you walk.
  • Crysis: 2048x1536 at 60 FPS - In an earlier article, it was reported that Crysis was running at 60+ fps for most of the time at CES 2007. In this new article, Jack Mamais tells techspot that the game is running at a resolution of 2048x1536. Judging by the HUD size in the images below, this seems like it's true.Combine that information with the fact that most of the code is still unoptimized, and you can easily understand how well Crysis will run. Take note that Crysis was running in DX10 at CES 2007, so could Microsoft's claim of 6 to 8 time the performance be true? If you read some of the earlier news items or read the techspot link posted below, you'd also know that Crysis was running an unknown core 2 duo processor and a single 8800GTX.
  • Broken Sword: The Angel of Death ships (US) - The Adventure Company today announced that it will publish Secrets of the Ark, the North American release of 'Broken Sword: The Angel of Death' for PC. The game will begin shipping in North America in February 2007.
  • Dreamfall: The Longest Journey on Steam - Funcom sent out a press release, announcing their adventure game Dreamfall: The Longest Journey is now on Steam. For the first two weeks the game is available for $29.99, the price will go up to $39.99 after that.
  • SiN Episodes for $9.95 - Until January 18, SiN Episodes: Emergence is available for just $9.95 (plus tax) on the Steam website! This offer includes SiN Episodes: Emergence, SiN Episodes Arena Mode, SiN 1, and SiN 1 multiplayer.
  • Rockstar Games Co-Founder Departs - Terry Donovan, the co-founder and managing director of Take Two Interactive's Rockstar Games brand, has left the company permanently after taking a leave of absence last September. No reason for Donovan's departure was given.
  • Taking the Piss Out of Vista -  We've been killing PC gaming was the headline accompanying announcement of Microsoft's plans on redressing its neglect of the PC gaming sector with a commitment to its revival, describing an 18-month drive to build a Games for Windows program.
  • MotorStorm Not 1808p, Not 60fps - SCEA has confirmed that the US release of MotorStorm will be the same 720p/30fps as the Japanese release.
  • Xbox 360 HD-DVD Add-On Selling Well - Microsoft's HD-DVD player for Xbox 360 is selling reasonably well with a total of 92,000 units sold to date since it launched in November 2006
  • Overclocking Your Nintendo DS - Apparently someone overclocked his DS using a 25mhz ceramics oscillator :-o
  • The $15,000 Race Chair - This is a racing chair that cost $15,000. Will gamers buy it?
