has pretty interesting feature which compares the graphics of some of the
multi-platform next-gen games on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The
article basically questions the value of the Cell processor becuase most of the
comparisons are equal, at best. Check it out and decide for yourself! |

But I can't help but think, this is second generation for 360 and 1st for PS3. And the PS3 ain't far behind, so I suspect the PS3, in the end really will look better. But thats just my opinion, of course, hehe. |

-In cod the XB360 is clearly drawing more shadows than the PS3 which gives the shot a more realistic look obviously.
-In Madden the shaders are slightly more detailed and seem to have one or two extra passes. The blue in the guys shirt is the clearest example.
-Tiger woods is probably the least affected though the XB360 version is again drawing more complex shadows.
I would like to see this again with higher res shots too. |

| miglaugh | (04:53 AM CET - Dec,01 2006 ) | | The point was, the pixel interpolation due to the shrinking of the screenshots by 4 times thier size (or more) has to have impact on the quality. The ps3 shots might have more detail but since they aren't as bright and the shots are minimized to the extent they are, everything gets muddy. I don't care how well anyone thinks their eyes are. This is like judging the difference between hd-dvd and blu-ray by looking at a youtube video... Either compare shots at their full resolution, or don't at all. |

| djRom | (12:53 AM CET - Dec,02 2006 ) | | I downloaded the Madden and Tiger hi-def videos. And the 360 version of Madden looks better. Not so sure about Tiger, actually I don't think either looks all that great for Tiger. Just imo of course. |
