Too Human Finds Unreal Engine Too Troublesome? - briefly|

Are developers having issues with the Xbox 360 version of the Unreal Engine 3
platform? One might be.
According to AMN Xbox 360,
Silicon Knights -
the developer behind Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem and Metal Gear Solid:
The Twin Snakes - is ditching the Unreal Engine 3 for its upcoming Xbox
360-exclusive title,
Too Human,
in favor of coding its own engine, on account that the Unreal Engine does not
work well with the Xbox 360 hardware. Unfortunately, their sources were unable
to reveal whether or not the new Too Human engine is being built ground-up or if
it still uses some elements of the Unreal Engine.
Update: Despite rumors of Silicon Knights dumping the use of Epic's Unreal Engine 3 for their Xbox 360 action game Too Human, Next Generation is reporting via a statement from Microsoft that the rumor is untrue and that the game still uses Unreal Engine 3. The statement said that rumors that Too Human was "experiencing production challenges that will cause massive delays are false.". |
