 Titan Quest ships - briefly
(hx) 04:47 PM CEST - Jun,27 2006
THQ sent out a press release (demo) announcing that Titan Quest, the epic and immersive action RPG developed by Brian Sullivan's (co-creator of Age of Empires) Iron Lore Entertainment, has shipped to retail outlets worldwide.
In Titan Quest, players will save humanity from terrifying monsters, mythical beasts and the mighty Titans who have escaped their eternal prisons. This transcontinental journey will take gamers through the treacherous and exotic lands of Greece, Egypt and Asia, questing in fabled locations such as the Parthenon, the Great Pyramids and the Great Wall of China. With 28 unique class combinations, randomized monsters and loot, and three difficulty levels (normal, legendary and epic), players can look forward to hours and hours of innovative and engaging gameplay. Co-operative multiplayer is available for up to six players on a LAN or through the Internet.
The first reviews can be found on 1UP (7/10), GameSpot (7.6/10), IGN (8.1/10), PALGN (9/10), ShackNews and Yahoo (4.5/5).

I really enjoyed this demo. I'm waiting to pick this up. The engine reminds me of Diablo, but the gfx are really nice and I like the simple fighting. Again, the only problem I had was in the darkness it would lag. Not a huge issue. The demo was actually pretty damn good in that it was hours of play if you didn't just go and complete the Main quest..
