- AMD's New York state fab is go - EE Times reports that
AMD has announced plans to build a new fab in upstate New York.
- The Samsung SE-W164L DVD burner -
The SE-W164L supports 16x DVD+R,
8x/6x DVD+RW/-RW, and 8x/4x DVD+R DL/-R DL writing. So in case you have
that large file that won't fit on a single layer DVD, you can still opt for a
dual layer media with 8.5 gigabytes of capacity for the backup.
- Microsoft to WinFS: Drop Dead -
Microsoft has scrapped plans for a
WinFS Beta 2. Instead, elements of WinFS are being rolled into other
products. I hope MS considers adopting Solaris ZFS just like how Mac OS, Linux
and various other Unices are considering...

updated version of Windows Vista to technical beta testers. Build 5456 is

network of neurons.
