  • Age of Conan preview - GameSpy has posted a massive preview of Age of Conan, the upcoming fantasy MMORPG.
  • Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War Interview - FiringSquad has posted an interview with Midway's Matt Vella talking about their upcoming historical RTS title.

  • X3: Reunion Patch version 1.4.03 - The X3: Reunion Patches page now offers a new patch for X3: Reunion, updating the space combat sequel to version 1.4.03.
  • StarShift The Zaran Legacy Demo - StarShift (demo ~ 142MB) is a turn-based online strategy game taking place in a fictional universe, and where you can back-stab your allies, corrupt your enemies and mess with everybody else.
  • Prey Collector's Edition Announced - 2K Games sent out an email announcing a pre-order program for Prey, Human Head's new sci-fi shooter. The game will be released as a regular edition and Limited Collector's Edition, available for the PC and Xbox 360 releases. The LCE will feature special metal packaging and include two die-cast pewter figurines (main character Tommy and an alien Hunter), a free download of the Prey soundtrack and a "The Art of Prey" book. The PC LCE also has the game on DVD instead of CD. Anyone who preorders the game will also receive a die-cast pewter figurine of the character Mutate. All four versions of Prey will be released simultaneously this July/
  • 1848 & For Liberty Announced - Battlefront.com and Hungarian developer Hussar Games announce a partnership, revealing plans for two games 1848, a historical turn-based strategy game to be released for free in Q2 2006 and For Liberty a game using an enhanced version of the 1848 engine, planned for release on the Fourth of July of this year.
  • Battlefield 2 Patch 1.30 Petition  - The upcoming 1.30 patch for Battlefield 2 includes an alteration which has professional gamers reasonably upset. The "fix" would eliminate what is known as "squad hopping," a very prevalent tactic in league matches.
  • World of Warcraft 1.11 Patch Plans - The World of Warcraft site has been updated with a story preview of patch 1.11 content, which includes the new high level dungeon Naxxramas. They also released a partial patch list.
  • Next-Gen Indiana Jones Title To Feature Euphoria - The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 Indiana Jones game scheduled for release in 2007 will feature a "revolutionary euphoria behavioral-simulation engine from NaturalMotion Ltd.," which allows NPCs to do all kinds of funky things.
  • Starcraft Ghost Cancelled? - Starcraft Ghost is cancelled. At least according to an email circulating among EB Games management
  • CNN: Nintendo discusses Wii - As we all pick our jaws up off the floor after hearing the new name for the Revolution, CNN's Game Over column has spoken with Nintendo to try to make sense of how the name came to be.
  • Celebs Coming To Access E3 2006 Event -  Access E3 2006, will be held at the House of Blues in Hollywood on May 10 and this time the organisers are promising more high profile celebs like Paris and Nicky Hilton, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, and Shannon Elizabeth among others will be showing up.
  • CPL World Tour Still On! - The CPL is not cancelled. The season will commence in August. CPL will announce the 2006 schedule in mid-June and the Dallas Winter Championships will conclude the season in December.

lol...i'm not really into figurines but i am into DVDs, so packing the DVD exclusively with the (more expensive) SE is basically just plain LAME.

very lame tactic for sure lmer. I ain't buying this game and they continue to give me further reason beyond the lousy doom3 engine to not buy it! Thanks George Broussard!
