Prey 'Super' movie - movie|
| (hx) 08:46 PM CEST - Apr,24 2006 | 3D Realms has released
a new
movie trailer (40.3MB) for
Prey, showing more of the sci-fi first-person shooter being crafted at Human
Head Studios. This high-resolution "Super" trailer runs for nearly four minutes
to feature a life-action intro along with plenty of action-packed cutscene and
gameplay footage. The single-player in this game is going to be awesome
thats a given in my opinion. But the multiplayer potential is what I'm waiting
to see. Imagine chasing someone who then runs up a wall and suddenly jumps into
a portal! The 40.3MB trailer can be found on
3DGamers,
FileShack,
VGPro,
WP.
Update:A blog comment by Scott Miller on Game Matters (thanks Voodoo Extreme) has word from 3D Realms that as crunch time progresses on Prey, they are preparing to release a playable demo. Word is: "That's why we're releasing a demo of Prey before the game comes out, and I feel very strongly that the demo will be our most important marketing tool for the game, by a long shot." |

I was actually expecting a few good looking areas augmented with some nice music, but this looks good actually. Oh and ph33r t3h p0w3r of Doom3 engine.
I just hope they retained those electronic bits of music instead of replacing it completely with this awfull shit from that renowned video game music mutilator who also shat on Oblivion and some other games with its generic (and synthetic) orchestral and string parts.
I live for the day when someone calls Autechre or AFX to score some really unique gem of a game.
Listening to Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works 2" just pours concepts for a Point And Click adventure into my grey cells.

Or Pan Sonic's "Mayhem1" scoring a Boss fight with an archvile of a robotic kind like in MGS. :D

So much good music, so many generic customers.

Eck the movie was as bad as the game is gonna be. Too late for this title imo... Can't see anything in this game that makes me want it, I'd rather have Sin tbh..
